1960's Big Open Vintage Flower Brooch - Patriotic in the Red,White & Blue!

This is a lovely old metal, cold enamelled Flower Pin.  It was made in Providence, Rhode Island, USA - an area which has been at the centre of the USA jewelry trade since the earliest days of Vintage Costume Jewellery manufacturing. This is a great example of a 'New Old Stock' piece as it was made in the Swinging Sixties and has lain in a Warehouse until now.  The enamel finish is bright and strong with a double layer of shaped petals - first in the bright blue, then on top on that in white surrounding a central red button dome. The Patriotic palette works for any country where they use the Red, White and Blue; or simply looks cool and trendy with that 1960s vibe.  The brooch is a good size being 3 inches in diameter, pictured with a £1 coin to help you estimate its impact!  It is finished in dapple blue and white on the reverse and fastens with a 'v' shaped back pin in silver coloured metal with a secure roll over type clasp.  The position of the pin ensures that this brooch will sit well on your lapel without flopping.
