1960's Vintage Coro Necklace -Green and Blue Leaves and Flowers- Unsigned Coro, USA Designer Necklace (SOLD)
This vintage necklace, dating to the early to mid 1960s, consists of 15 flowers. Each small flower-head is a trefoil of petrol blue Austrian crystal jewels with large frosted glass leaves which are shades of green to blue. The flowers are stylised, the frosted leaves are Lalique-like and the stems have a goldtone metal finish. The necklace is wonderfully flexible and bends and curves to make a beautiful collar. The style is truly romantic and this necklace would be a beautiful jewellery accessory for a wedding or special occasion. The necklace is of super quality and is in excellent condition. It is unsigned but is likely to be the work of Coro, USA. The tell-tale signs of it being an unsigned 'Coro' jewel are first of all the style, secondly the quality of the components, thirdly the attention to detail but mostly the teardrop shaped decal at the end of the chain closure which is the design used by the Coro Company for their jewelry in the 1950s and 1960s to the 1970s. This necklace is .75 inches in width at the widest jewelled central part and it measures a full 17 inches from clasp to teardrop, with loops and a hook to vary the fitting. The necklace is gold tone metal throughout
