1950s Vintage Faux Garnet Necklace with Swagged detail

Vintage jewelled  necklaces from the 1940s and 1950s are always an elegant choice for a special occasion and this one is lovely.  Here we have a necklace with more than 100 individual claw-set garnet coloured deep red jewels in it.  They are facet-cut glass crystal and are mainly round in shape with some ovals adding detail to the central drop and each side too.  This necklace is swagged in design and has a subtle warmth and a glow to it.  The burgundy red jewels are set in a gold tone metal and the necklace is in very good condition. In the centre of the necklace is a drop, then two swags each side  and a couple of  larger stones.  The measurements are 17 inches in length but this is varied using the hook and ring clasp. A great necklace  for sparkling occasions and with its rich, red colour it would be great for Christmas party wear!
