1950s Compact - Heart Shaped 'Cherie' Signed KIGU - Gold Compact
A Kigu, made in England, heart shaped vintage compact from the 1950s. This stylish accessory has engine engraved top and base and within there is a powder guard which opens by the use of a slide device. The 'Cherie' was a successful seller for Kigu and no wonder as it is a great design. The item is a quality piece with engine engraved gold plated lid and base. In good order, with just the marks and tiny dings you would expect for a used item from the 1950s era, that is 60 plus years old. This compact would give good service or would be a great addition to a collection of vintage powder compacts. Measurements are 3 inches max in both length and width. This accessory is left with its original puff and some powder inside too. It is easy to remove the puff and powder guard if you wish to.
