1950s - 1960s Vintage Necklace - Lemon Flowers and Orange Beads - Fab Early Plastic Jewellery (sold)
Vintage bead necklaces should always be this much fun! Here we have a super necklace dating from the late 1950s to the early 1960s and it is all orange and lemon! It does have a fruity feel to it because the smooth orange beads have a cluster of leaves on top and it makes them look like perfect little mini orange fruits. The flowers and leaves on this necklace are polythene and are in little groups in lemon yellow and white. The shaped beads in two tone clear lemon and white and swirly orange and white have the appearance of boiled sweets and are of an acrylic type of hard plastic. This is just a delicious necklace. There are two strands of beads and a decorative push in type clasp. This necklace was manufactured in Hong Kong and this is marked on the back of the push in clasp. Because of the use of plastic materials this necklace is light as a feather making it perfect to wear on a hot summer's day or hotter summer's night! Team it up with a pretty vintage frock and you are good to go! This collectable necklace is in excellent condition and it measures about 18 inches round on the shortest length of beads so sits really nicely.
