1940's Deep Carved Bakelite Dress Clip

This is a 1940's deep-carved bakelite dress clip in a gorgeous burgundy colour.  It measures  a chunky 4.5 by 2.5cms (1.75 by almost 1 inch) and is 1cm thick . The design features a stylised flower mounted on a gilded brass background.  The clip back opens fully and is good and secure.  This is a rare example of geniune bakelite jewellery.
