1930s Green Jewelled Bohemian Filigree Dress Clip

A 1930s dress clip of medium size with an open jewel-set lattice design is on offer here.  Made in old Bohemia, this clip hasbeen pressed from sheet metal, most likely Tombec.  There is still silvering to the front but the darker more brassy coloured metal is evident to the reverse of the clips.  This kind of patina is what you would expect on Bohemian pressed filigree costume jewellery of this period and it adds a lovely antique appeal to the item. Hand set onto the filigree dress are vibrant green flat back and facet cut glass paste jewels of various sizes.  There are twenty five individual jewels on the clip. The design consists of a pointed shape with a rounded wider top in a filigree lattice trellis effect with the  green jewels set on the decorative filigree. The quality and condition of this dress clip is very good. Measuring just under 3cms at its widest part and 5.5cms in length the clip would add a touch of sparkle to a collar, hats or lapel.  The clip to the reverse is good and tight and three small sharp claws will ensure that the jewelled clip stays in place on your outfit.
