1930's French Sequinned Purse (SOLD)

Layers and Layers of perfect irridescent sequins have been hand stitched onto this little evening purse.  Dating from the 1930's this vintage bag is in very good condition.  The sequins, whilst a pearly white in colour, have a lustre like old mother of pearl with hints of pink and purple.  The bag has the added detail of a row of frosted white bugle beads around the seam where the two sides meet.  The frame is a soft silvertone with matching chain handle and the purse closes with a 'kissing' type clasp.   Lined in an Ivory White silk satin material this bag is in amazing order for its age.  There is one tiny fault, a little black mark on the inside satin which could be make-up or an ink mark; this doesn't show through the bag or detract from its appeal.  A small cloth label inside declares 'Made in France', some of the finest beaded bags of the Art Deco era were hand beaded in France and Belgium.  This 1930's evening bag measures approximately 4.5 inches by 7 inches with a total chain length of 10 inches.
