1930's Celluloid Buckle on Original Card
This lovely big two piece buckle is made of a rim of Black celluloid with the centre of 'End-of-the-Day' (multicoloured) celluloid overlaid on metal. Each disc has a diameter of 5.5 cms ( a little over 2ins). It has 2 metal loops on the back of each disc to allow it to be stitched onto a fabric belt and it connects in the middle with a metal hook over type clasp. It is robust enough to use, but would need to be removed before laundering. As it is on the original card which declares it to be the "Latest Style Dress Buckle" and "Made in England" it would be excellent for a collector too!
