1930's Art Deco Necklace with Turquoise Glass Beads and Elaborate Chromed Chain Work
SO chic, so smart and so modern - but this necklace is around 75 years old! Infinitely wearable and still with the wow factor, this art deco chrome and bead necklace dates from the 1930's and is a joy. Measuring 16.5 inches long, the necklace consists of some elaborate rope knot twist panels combined with turquoise blue glass beads and fancy pressed bead cups and engraved links. The largest central marble bead is just over half an inch in diameter and this art deco necklace also has six other lovely smaller glass beads graduated in size. These lovely vintage glass beads are spaced with various antique pressed and engraved patterned metal findings to great effect. This art deco bead necklace is in great order with no wear to the chrome panels or the bolt ring clasp and loop. This is an authentic art deco period necklace, not retro or a new copy but the real thing! It has the look of Jakob Bengel’s designs much loved at that time. It is pictured on my life sized model Ellie so you can see how lovely it looks on.
