1930's Art Deco Necklace with Elaborate Chromed Chain Work and Amber Glass Marble Beads (SOLD)
SO chic, so smart and so modern - but this necklace is almost 80 years old! Infinitely wearable and still with the wow factor, this art deco chrome and bead necklace dates from the 1930's and is a joy. Measuring 17 inches long, the necklace consists of some elaborate rope knot twist panels combined with clear yellow amber glass beads and fancy pressed bead cups and engraved links. The largest central marble bead is 2cms in diameter and this art deco necklace also has two 1.25 cm diameter beads and ten smaller yellow glass beads, each about half a cm in diameter. These lovely vintage glass beads are spaced with various antique pressed metal findings to great effect. In general, this art deco bead necklace is in great shape with just a bit of wear to the chrome at one or two of the rings and the bolt ring clasp and loop. This wear is in no way detrimental to the look of the necklace or its strength - it just confirms that this is an authentic art deco period necklace, not retro or a new copy but the real thing!
