1930s Art Deco Necklace with Drop - White Open Set Crystal and Filigree
This lovely vintage necklace is from the Art Deco period which covers the style of the years between 1915 and 1935. This necklace is in white chromed metal and white cut glass crystal. It consists of a pretty facet cut dropper with filigree open flower details holding foil back jewels surrounded by other round beads and open crystals in the same white tones. This central feature pendant is suspended from a capped bead. There is a larger filigree work and either side are 3 open set crystals and capped beads and two smaller filigree jewelled sections. On this necklace each gem is claw set to the front on a neat, engraved bar and loop style chain with a bolt ring clasp. It has the timeless modern appeal that makes original Art Deco jewellery so sought after today. The necklace is approximately 17 inches in length around and the dropper part adds an inch and a quarter. Offered in very good condition this pretty piece of vintage jewellery is light and delicate and would be very pretty with a summer frock or a more formal ball gown.
