1930s - 1940s Silver Marcasite Dress Clip Art Deco Stylised Leaf (sold)

This chic dress clip has an openwork design reminiscent of a stylised leaf.  It is most certainly art deco and hails from Continental Europe as it bears the 935 silver mark on its reverse. Measuring a little over 1.5 inches by  just under 1 inch this dress clip is in excellent condition with a super strong clawed clip to ensure it will stay securely in place.  This clip is fabulous when worn on a little black dress as the fabric shows through the open panels giving a striking contrast between the frock and the jewel.  Set with lots of well cut natural marcasite stones it has a subtle shine to it.
