1930's - 1940's Clear Yellow Bakelite Bangle (SOLD)
This lemon yellow vintage bakelite bangle looks as delicious as a fruit drop! It is made of a kind of Bakelite known as Prystal which means it is clear rather than a solid colour. Bright and beautiful this early plastic bangle bracelet dates from the 1930s to the 1940s. It is in very good condition with just a few surface scratches which are to be expected on all genuine bakelite pieces. Lemon drop yellow is a fabulous colour and is right on trend now. I like to group my Bakelite bangles with modern wooden bracelets and silver and gold bangles to make an interesting group. That said, this vintage bangle would be very chic worn on its own. It measures approximately 3.25 inches from outer edge to edge with a wall of quarter of an inch leaving it with a 2.5 inch edge to edge hole and it is quarter of an inch thick too. I would say that those measurements make it suitable for small to medium wrists.
