1920's/30's Dress Clip with Leaf detail (SOLD)

This dress clip is unusual as it is set with glass cabouchon stones - a large dark navy blue oval and three round jewels, one bright red, one soft green and one a brick brown (like a natural carnelian).  The design is of three stylised leaves with great detail, you can see the veins and the pointed ends are clearly defined too.  Made of gilded brass, this piece of vintage costume jewellery is probably Bohemian in origin or maybe from France or Continental Europe.  It dates from the 1920s or 1930's .  Dress Clips are stylish and versatile.  The back clip device, which snaps shut over fabric, allows them to be fastened over a neckline, the band on a hat, through a scarf or buttonhole or even over a ribbon or chain to make a pendant necklace.  This clip 3.5 by 4.5cms approximately. It is in good vintage condition and is perfect to wear  yourself or as a gift for a vintage fashion enthusiast.
