This is a neat hair comb from the early Art Deco period .  It has a simple fan shape making it most versatile. With a good strong colour combination of a rich mottled brown with an almost golden honey tone - just like the tortoiseshell it is so cleverly imitating the comb is a neutral colour matching and blending with most hair colours. Made from the early plastic celluloid it is robust and wearable still.    It measures 5 inches from the top to the tip of the prongs and is just 2.5 inches across at the widest curved top point.  It would also be ideal for a collector of hair accessories, early plastic or antique and vintage costume. It would also be nice to wear for Salsa or Flamenco dancing!
