Here we have a lovely detailed bangle from the Art Deco era.  Dating to the 1920s or 1930s this bangle has a tribal design - it is meant to look like carved Ivory.  The material of this Art Deco bangle is an early Bakelite-era plastic known as Casein.  Casein is actually a milk based plastic that was used in the manufacture of buttons, buckles and costume jewellery in the first half of the twentieth century. This Ivorine bangle is offered in Excellent condition and is great to wear or add to a collection of Bakelite era plastics.
