1901 - 1910 Gilt Metal Edwardian Photo Pendant - Lady one side, Gent the other (SOLD)
This is a sweet little Edwardian pendant locket with a photo of a lady one side and a gentleman's photo on the reverse. The pictures are permanent, possibly printed onto ceramic discs and have both been coloured. The gent has a parted hairstyle and a very nice moustache. The lady has her hair swept up and has nice rosy cheeks. Dating from the early years of the 20th Century and the early days of photography this is an interesting piece of antique sentimental jewellery. The mount for these old photographs is gilt metal most probably gilded brass and is in a typical late Victorian - Edwardian style with scrolls and ball decoration. There is a little ring through the top of the open metal work in hallmarked (9.375) 9ct gold which could be used to attach the photo pendant to a chain for easy wear.
