This tie-clasp is a retro accessory in the Art Deco style. The tie clip is made of Rhodium coated Sterling silver. It is common for fine sterling silver jewellery manufactured in Japan or the USA to be finished with rhodium as it prevents tarnish and saves you having to clean the item! It has a neat engine engraved design along the front bar. On top of the bar is a sterling silver cup holding a black onyx stone topped with a creamy cultured pearl. Measurements are Length of tie clip 4.5cm approx, width 0.5cms, black onyx disc 12 mms in diameter and cultured pearl 5mms approx. This would be a perfect tie clip with a morning or dinner suit.
