This vintage brooch has an elongated lozenge shape which makes it nice and versatile to wear on coats, jackets or hats. Made of micro mosaic glass tiles this pretty pin is in the Italian Florentine style with a mix of floral and dot, dash and star decoration. The tiles are mainly in blule, white and red colours and are held within gilt rope twist borders whilst the mount itself is silver tone. This collectable item is in good condition and dates from the 1920s. The Italian Micro Mosaic brooch measures 2.5 inches in length and is a little over a quarter of an inch at its widest place in the middle of the pin. It fastens with a safety pin type clasp.
