This is a lovely and useful little purse made of machined tapestry with floral decoration. It has one side with a basket of flowers and swags as the design and the other with entwined roses, flowers and a floral bouquet. The main body of the bag is a sort of corded fabric in black with the embroidered panels in cream, gold, shades of green, pinks and purples. It has a very french look to it and is 'tres chic!'. The bag is lined in black satin with a mirror pocket, containing a mirror. The frame is an old gold plated metal with a gold aluminium chain measuring approx 13 inches. It closes with a kissing clasp. The bag itself is approx 4.5 by 6.5 inches with a rounded 'D' shape overall. I would guess it is from the 1960's. This would be lovely to use for evening dress or equally nice for interior design - just hanging on a screen or wall. And because it has a different design on each side, you can ring the changes whenever you want to. It is in great vintage order too!
