This fun little white metal, cold enamel and faux amethyst brooch is from British maker 'Exquisite'. This pin depicts a bunch of lucky white heather with green foliage tied in a red patterned bow and decorated with three small and one large paste stone in a soft purple hue. The Brooch comes on its original pad which has the 'Exquisite' signature upon it and in its original tartan cardboard box. Also included with the brooch is a copy of the leaflet that the Company used to advertise and market their pieces which says " These Scottish Souvenir Brooches have been specially designed for us and are protected under the following Registered Design Nos: 905226,905227, and 905225 which means that the designs themselves date from 1962. Obviously a souvenir item, the clear plastic sleeve has the words 'Lucky white heather brooch' printed on it. The Scottish collection were retailed through a showroom at Hope Street, Glasgow but the Exquisite Company's factory was based in Solihull, Warwickshire. The little white heather pin measures approx 1.5 ins in length and is approx 1 inch wide. It fastens with a secure roll over type clasp.
