Here is a nice unusual comb made of Cellulloid with a Tortoiseshell effect and colour. It has an open loop to the top with a pierced foliate design - a bit like leaves and tendrils swirling over a trellis. Dating from the first quarter of the Twentieth Century ( 1900 to 1925 ) this comb would have sat well in an updo or as a side comb. It is in good condition and would be easy to wear today. The length is approximately 5 inches and it is almost 4 inches wide across.
