This is a great comb made from celluloid to imitate blond tortoiseshell or horn. It is a good size, measuring just over 6 inches from the decorative top to the tip of the tines or prongs and a little over 5.5 inches across. This comb is in the Spanish Mantilla style and is beautifully curved so it will sit well in your hair. Even though it could be around 100 year's old it is in perfect order and robust enough to wear and use. The pierced design is very attractive and the colours are mottled from a deep brown through to honey so this vintage hair accessory would look good on black hair, red hair, blondes and brunettes. It would be a wonderful addition to any vintage costume jewellery and accessories collection too.
