Another hand beaded gem of a bag from Hong Kong! This one dates from the 1960s into the 1970s. It has a design of stylised chrysanthamum type flower heads on it with an all-over pattern worked in tiny amber yellow glass seed beads. The pattern is repeated on both sides of the bag. The fabric is cream with a shot of gold thread through it. Inside the lining is a rich buttery cream satin, with the mirror pocket and a little 'Made in Hong Kong' label. The bag is very slightly padded. The frame is gilt toned with an all over pattern and a 'kissing' type clasp. The chain is light weight aluminium in a bright gold finish, it has a double link. The clever bit with this bag is the handle; it will just swing inside completely.Two great bags in one - you can have an evening bag on a chain or you can have a groovy clutch purse, the choice is yours! Approximate size is 5.5 inches by 6.5 inches at its widest point with a 15 inch chain. The bag is in great condition.
