This gorgeous little evening purse is in mint condition! It is made of a crinkle effect cream fabric with gold lines. The clasp has a nice sparkly crystal set flower shaped snapping closure and the 10 inch long chain handle is in a gold tone. The inside is satin decorated with a pattern of tiny rectangles on it. There is a little pocket holding a mirror which is still in its paper wrap! The bag has a 'Made in England' label with the logo CFR, which I believe is the intitials of C.F. Rolls, a London manufacturer, who made quality evening purses in the 1950s and the 1960s. It is interesting that the bag has its original paper price tag too! It was on sale originally for 29/6, this is crossed out in red biro with the lower price of 12/6 then written on. Even with the price reduction,that would have been a hefty sum back then! It is sad that it was never used, but it does make it pristine for the next owner. It would make a really nice bridal accessory; something 'old' to bring the bride good luck! It is a ittle over 5 inches by 7 inches in size.
