It is good to find a genuine 1940's hand made hairband in wearable order. This beauty is made of soft silk bronze brown velvet for the band and bows with two light pink Camelia flowers with a velvety finish to them. I have shown the hair band on my life size model Kate so you can see how it looks on. This would be super for a wedding or to add to a collection of 1940s costume. Whilst I was waiting to photograph it for this website it has laid on my dressing table looking beautiful - so it works as a decorative feature too! Size is approximately 5 inches by 5 inches with flexibility across for the band itself whilst the old velvet flowers and bows are as follows - each pink camelia is 2 inches in diameter and the whole of the decorative top ( bows and flowers) is 8 inches by 3.5 inches approx.
