1930's Bohemian Pressed Filigree Brooch

This old gold-tone pressed filigree brooch is set with 5 lovely pink satin glass cabouchons:- 4 in oval shapes and a larger circular shape in the centre. The overall design is one of flowers and leaves with four large and four small open flowers. These encircle the central pink stone. Each tiny flower has a sparkly pink claw-set paste in the middle. This lovely brooch was made in around 1930 and is of a pressed filigree work known as 'gurtler work'. This was a traditional craft in Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Austria and the area known as Bohemia, The brooch has a 'c' clasp and pin fixing and is in excellent condition. It is approx. 5cms (2ins) in diameter.
