This brooch is a great example of the fashion for all things Chinese, which was hugely popular in the 1920s and 30s. The brooch is a Bohemian pressed filigree piece in old gold tone. It features a griffin-type bird's head, chinese letters, a faux coral and carved faux green jade jewel. It measures approx 4cms/1.5 inches by 2cms/just over half an inch and has a 'c' type clasp.
