Dating from the Art Deco 1920's/1930's era this is a delightful silver and marcasite brooch. It has the letters 'MAP' picked out within an open frame. I would think it is initials but it could be a nickname - MAP and LUCIA come to mind! Everything has been set with neat facet cut natural marcasite stones. This antique brooch is in excellent condition and it fastens with a robust pin and an old fashioned 'c' type clasp. It measures 6cms by 1.5cms approximately. This brooch would make a good addition to a collection of antique name brooches as it is so unusual!
